Luca Colella

I'm a recent Computing Science graduate, and nerd that likes to keep with the web trends. Having done my placement year in this team, I have now returned to my adventure that is Shropshire Council web development.

Out of work I'm a huge foodie, lover of TV and cinema, and enjoy reading, walks, basketball, spending time with family and friends, and board games.

Experience

Having a knack for technology since the young age of two, I grew up with a piece of technology always in my hand.

Writing my first batch and Python scripts at eleven, Notepad'ing code and simple websites at fourteen, then tackling Object Orientated Programming at sixteen. My passion towards the web grew when being introduced to modules involving Apache/MYSQL/PHP. Ever since then it was my technological focus to learn Web and JavaScript frameworks/languages, and stay up to date - as best as I can in this constantly evolving tech world - with new and innovative technologies.

Studying Bsc Computing Science at Staffordshire University, I focused most of my modules to be web oriented from HTML/CSS, PHP, Razor; to web design, and media.

My passion now coming to fruition, being able to roam and create for large council websites as a Web Developer.

I still have a tendency to hand-code everything in Sublime, however I do make use of Visual Studio for the amazing IntelliSense, useful in our MVC Umbraco websites.
