Lewis Moorcroft
I’m a web designer and developer all rolled into one. I joined what was the Web Team when the unitary council formed in April 2009, and today I am part of the new Digital Services Team, helping to design and build web services.
When I am not in front of a monitor at work I can often be found in front of one at home, working on one of my personal websites which showcase a hobby of mine – creating digital landscape artwork. I do like to give the tech a break in an attempt to keep ‘healthy’, so I dabble in a bit of sport every now and again, as well as spending time with family and friends, and getting lost in the world of music.
Experience
I have spent a number of years designing and building websites, from static hard-coded ones to content driven dynamic ones to device friendly (responsive) ones. I feel that my ‘dual role’ of working on both the design and development aspects of the web has been a massive bonus. It has allowed me to keep up to speed on best practice, techniques and tools for the design, front-end and back-end development of websites.
